Padel
A great choice to keep your body in perfect shape!
- The ease with which both experienced racquet players and novices can pick it up, and rapidly improve;
- The relatively low cost when compared to playing tennis (no stringing, for example)
- A great cardio workout (which is more difficult to find in doubles tennis, which is the most popular format at club level players, although squash players will find padel a little less strenuous)
- Very social, because the sport is mostly doubles and often involves rotating pairs, and after-match socialisation
- Ease of transporting equipment (in many cases no need to buy sports equipment baggage on flights)
- We pick locations which are sunny, and even though we cannot guarantee that it will never rain (especially as rain is very much needed in the warmer southern regions where our trips take place), the probability of rain for their entire period of your trip is statistically nil, in the destinations initially selected;
- All our destination clubs offer indoor or a combination of indoor and outdoor padel courts (unless you choose our “I’ll risk the weather, it can’t be as bad as back home” packages – see T&C for more information)
Tennis
Tennis is widely played sport in the UK. Under the patronage of the LTA, the sport’s national body, facilities, players and competitions are plentiful, and regional penetration high. The rapid growth of padel in the UK (and to a similar degree in Ireland) will be spurred by other racket sports, of which tennis is the most important. Most people playing padel have tennis background… so what is the best way to have both sports in the same trip? We offer combined Tennis and Padel trips to cater for those who wish to play padel but also have time to play a tennis match or practice with a fellow tennis player.
Our combined Padel and Tennis trips will be organised at clubs offering both types of courts, meaning that players can easily move between one activity and the other. Where free time is built into the padel program, participants will be able to fill the gaps with either tennis or another activity (all our venues offer a range of leisure options).
Coaching
Our destination clubs have highly experienced coaching staff, all the clubs have English-speaking coaches, and we are working on coaching-intensive programs with clubs that train many hundreds of players every year.
In the meantime, our active, enthusiastic and trained padel coaches will accompany trips from time to time, allowing participants to observe the difference in approach and style (and as a continuous development opportunity for the coaches).
Testimonials
I really enjoyed Portimão, it was easy to get around and everything was within 15 mins travelling time once we were there. Faro to Portimão was a 45 min drive on very good roads! The padel club was awesome with a range of quality courts, coaches and locals very friendly and made everyone feel really welcome. I will definitely be visiting again.
Martin
Brilliant sense of community brought together by Padeltrips4U. The coaching and playing local players were particular highlights for me.
Jordan
Our coach was very personable and clearly identified areas where we could improve. His demonstrations of the shots were excellent and he gave praise when it was warranted. PadelTrips4U were clearly working as a good team organising matches and joining in themselves. It was great to play with them and to watch them in action playing with the locals.
