Valencia – Spain

Valencia is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city on the Mediterranean coast. Once the capital of its own kingdom, it is now a regional capital and Spain’s third largest city. Surrounded by orange orchards and sandy beaches, the city enjoys year-round sunshine and access to a long sandy city beach. Valencia offers a very wide range of experiences alongside just playing padel outdoors, and a padel trip would almost be wasted if not allowing some time to explore what this wonderful city has to offer. Everyone loves food, and what better way than to savour the traditional Spanish dish “paella”, which is a Valencian creation, or to try some tapas.

Valencia is a flat and eminently walkable city. From the beach at Malvarossa, via the City of Sciences and Arts on the Turia, to the Old Town via the Russafa market, it’s all easily reachable. It is served by a huge range of transport options: train, tram, metro, buses, and one of the largest networks of electric bikes and scooters, all of which can be ridden on an immense network of designated paths, criss-crossing the city. For those wanting to extend their stay beyond the padel trip, Valencia is an excellent destination for cultural and city vacation.

Valencia is served by its own airport, but because flights do not operate year-round from the UK and Ireland, connection is usually via Barcelona or Alicante, via an easy train ride of approximately 2 hours. Flight times to any of these airports from UK & Ire range from2 to 2.5 hours, making one of our longer programs ideal, especially when joined with some additional holiday time.

Our destination clubs are located within easy public transportation within the city, or a quick taxi/Uber/Freenow/Cabify ride. Clubs have restaurants or cafés serving meals on site, and a car for exploration beyond your padel trip, is discretionary (and depends on where you wish to visit). A car in the city is neither required nor recommended, as parking is difficult in some zones and public transportation options are so widespread and cheap.
